To my understanding chronic pain is still not recognised and given weighting. A very good white paper on the amendment in the law for civil damages including chronic pain was presented in 2011 but was not followed up to become law contrary to other countries. Professionals still use this white paper as a basic framework although this is still not firmly in law. This would allow a fairer and more standardised process.
